Stowe Cable Company Selects VoX Communications for Wholesale VoIP Services

Cable Carrier Will Sell Private-labeled VoX VoIP to its Broadband Customers

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., July 12, 2005 – eLEC Communications Corp. (OTCBB:ELEC), an integrated communications service provider, today announced that Stowe VoIP, a subsidiary of Stowe Cable, a regional cable company located in Stowe, Vt., has signed a contract with VoX Communications, eLEC’s wholly owned subsidiary, to obtain Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services for its broadband customers on a private label basis.

VoX’s CIO Mark Richards stated, “We are very pleased that Stowe has chosen our VoIP services for their customers. Stowe will be able to approach their broadband users and offer a feature-rich and low-cost telephone service product that will save their customer money over traditional landline carriers. We will also provide Stowe with a private-labeled customer web site so their VoIP customers can go online to see their usage, pay their bills, order additional services and interact with customer service teams. There are hundreds of independent cable carriers who are looking for VoIP solutions, and we’re glad to see Stowe as the first of many carriers to use our product for their customers.”

Stowe’s General Manager Rick Rothammer stated, “VoX offers high quality and a great value. We tested three other VoIP carriers and were never pleased with the quality of service. Calls on the VoX network have clarity, useful features and a quick connection that far surpasses any other VoIP product we have tried. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with VoX.”
